Automatic Perfect Binding Machine for Educational Book Production: Sai Paper Industries on Binding Consistency

Sai Paper Industries with the automatic perfect binding machine during educational book production

Sai Paper Industries, based in Sangamner, Maharashtra, installed BW@2500 an automatic perfect binding machine as part of their educational and notebook production setup handling around 3 to 4 lakh books every month. Their operation includes offset printing, cutting, binding, lamination, and post-press work from a 7,000 sq. ft. facility with a team of around 25 people.

They handle educational books, notebooks, and commercial printing work for schools, institutions, and distributors. Binding has been part of their in-house setup since 2004.

It was installed on 31 January 2026. Sai Paper Industries said they were looking to improve production handling during larger runs, reduce manual work during finishing, and maintain binding quality during repeat educational jobs.

When volume started affecting dispatches

Educational and notebook jobs create pressure on post-press handling at scale. Sai Paper Industries already ran printing, cutting, binding, lamination, and finishing in-house. At their production volume, repeat batches moved quickly through finishing, and manual handling during this stage increased correction work and affected dispatch schedules.

Maintaining consistent binding quality across repeat batches was part of their requirement during regular production. Their work moves in volumes, and the binding stage had to keep up with the pace of the rest of the line.

Why they added the automatic perfect binding machine

Sai Paper Industries added Bindwel’s BW@2500 due to its quality, workability, and Bindwel’s service support as the main reasons behind their decision. They also referred to Bindwel as a trusted name in the Indian post-press industry.

They evaluated BW@2500 for regular educational and notebook production. Their primary requirement was to handle repeat jobs within their existing workflow without disrupting regular operations.

Post-installation support was also part of their evaluation because the machine would enter daily production immediately after installation.

What changed during regular production

After installation of the automatic perfect binding machine, Sai Paper Industries reported better finishing quality, reduced manual work, and improvement in production speed.

The reduction in manual handling helped during repeat educational and notebook runs. Operators spent less time correcting jobs and handling rework during finishing activity.

During educational and notebook production, repeat jobs move through finishing continuously. Sai Paper Industries said the reduction in manual handling helped the team manage recurring batches more steadily during daily production work, especially when multiple jobs were already lined up for dispatch.

Sai Paper Industries also reported more organized post-press handling after the machine entered production. Easier movement between stages helped maintain continuity during repeat jobs and dispatch schedules.

What the production team focused on

When asked about important features of BW@2500, an automatic perfect binding machine, Sai Paper Industries pointed to easy operation and strong binding quality.

The machine was evaluated during regular educational and notebook work where repeatability across batches becomes important during longer runs.

Their feedback focused on machine handling, binding consistency, and finished output during daily production activity.

Support during running production

Bindwel’s technical support team provided assistance from installation onward. Support was available whenever production issues came up during operation.

Sai Paper Industries said they would recommend Bindwel to other printers based on machine quality, workability, and service support.

Their focus going forward

Sai Paper Industries said they see increasing demand for high-volume production at controlled cost levels along with greater use of automation in printing and binding.

Their future plans include further expansion in printing and binding with stronger focus on government tender work and textbook production, including Balbharti-related jobs.

For Sai Paper Industries, the automatic perfect binding machine was added into an active educational production line. Their feedback stayed focused on binding consistency, reduced manual work, and post-press handling during repeat production runs.
