Perfect Binding

Perfect Binding

Perfect binding or adhesive binding is the fastest process of binding a book. Hotmelt adhesives are used for joining together a set of loose leaves along with a cover. Hotmelt adhesives for a typical job are chosen based on the type of paper and the required durability of the binding. Both commercial printing of a large number of books and digital printing for short runs predominantly employ this method of binding.

Firm clamping of signatures, spine preparation that brings out maximum fibers, three roller gluing systems for spine, separate side gluing, cover feeding, four line creasing of covers, cover nipping - these are some of the critical steps in a Perfect binding machine.
