Hot Foil Stamping

Hot Foil Stamping

Hot foil stamping is a printing technique used to apply metallic or pigmented foil onto various surfaces, such as paper, cardboard, leather, or plastic. It adds a decorative, shiny, and eye-catching element to products like business cards, invitations, book covers, packaging, and more.

The Prä machines for foil stamping will be used to emboss titles or names on book covers and backs. The letters will be heated and by means of pressure (manually or computer controlled) printed on the book case. The stamping is resulting from pressing the heated letters via hot stamping foil on the cover material.

The hot foil stamping process involves the use of a metal die, which is a custom-made stamp that contains the desired design or text. The die is typically made of brass and is created by etching or engraving the desired pattern onto the metal surface. The die is then heated and pressed against the foil and the substrate (the material being stamped) using a specialized machine.
